Healthyliving refers to the process of making positive choices thatcontribute to a person`s physical, mental and spiritual well-being.Being healthy is not necessary about what one eats, even though it isa bigger portion. This involves how people treat their body (Alters &ampSchiff, 2013). Majority of people assume that being healthy is a veryexpensive lifestyle. People are only reluctant to adjust some changesin their lives, and they use these excuses that hold them from livinghealthy lifestyles. There are number factors that affect one`shealth, but the major factors that contribute to a healthy livinginclude a balanced diet, physical activities and the choices peoplemake (Alters &amp Schiff, 2013).

Tobegin with, one needs to adapt to a nourishing and a balanced diet inorder to live a healthy lifestyle. People eat food for growth andmaintenance of a healthy body, but they have different requirementsfor children, young adults and seniors. For instance, children mayrequire feeding at an interval of four hours till they are grownenough to eat solid food. People are encouraged to take plenty ofgrains, lean meats and healthy fats and oils (Alters &amp Schiff,2013). Most people complain that fruits and vegetables are expensive,this assumption might be true but on the other hand, one pays forwhat he gets and thus purchase of cheap food is not healthier as itlacks nutritional values. Spending a little more on one`s diet, isbeneficial in the long run. Further, it is important to purchasefresh fruits and vegetable as they are believed to contain morenutritional elements than stored vegetables.

Secondly,Exercise is just important as a nutritious diet. There are other usesof physical exercises besides the obvious advantage of physicalappearance. Exercises help reduce symptoms of depression and anxietythus improving their moods and well-being (Alters &amp Schiff,2013). Different types of exercises have different results. Forinstance, weight lifting gives rise to different physical appearanceand reduces the metabolic rate. They also improve athleticsperformance by strengthening their bones. Further, cardiovascularexercises help build leads to a stronger heart and lungs. This alsohelps reduces chances of one being diagnosed with diseases such asobesity, diabetes, heart diseases and hypertension (Alters &ampSchiff, 2013). People with efficient working and strongcardiovascular systems can engage aerobics activities, swimming andrunning thus helps in consuming calories and fats in the human body.Balanced training and flexibility help in the general body building,thus boosting one`s posture and general body strength. On the samepoint, specific exercises help reduce body pains and increase themotion of muscles and joints.

Thechoices we make in life contribute significantly to our well being.Regular alcohol and drugs into the body is abusing the body (Alters &ampSchiff, 2013). Most alcohols are with no calories that lead toexcessive weight gain, and this is not a healthy lifestyle. The bodyperforms lots o activities to keep one healthy and thus you shouldalso try not to do activities that contradict your body. In addition,taking of multivitamins helps maintain a healthy lifestyle. Peoplewho are deficient in certain nutrition are advices to boost theirhealth with multivitamins, while others take them just to ensuretheir body has enough minerals and vitamins needed by their body(Alters &amp Schiff, 2013).

Ahealthy lifestyle involves a balanced and nutritious diet, as well asengaging in physical activities that keeps one fit and free fromdiseases (Alters &amp Schiff, 2013). It is also vital regularly tomonitor your health. This involves physical, emotional and mentalaspects of the body as they relate to work, home and during leisure.Necessary changes should be made sooner so that a people can starteating healthier.
